Is Your Loved One on the Utah DSPD Wait List? One-Time Funding Available Now!

Time sensitive - DSPD has one-time funding for respite. If your child is on the wait list, they may qualify for temporary caregiver compensation and/or one-time respite, PPE (masks, gloves, sanitizer), assistive tech such as a tablet, and Meals on Wheels for ages 22 and above. See the link for details and submit a request by September 13th, 2020.

Special thanks goes to Governor Herbert and DSPD Director, Angie Pinna, who have worked together to get legislation signed. About 25% of families on the wait list will be able to access one-time services. That equates approximately 1,000 Utah families of children with qualifying special needs who will be able to have some relief during the COVID-19 pandemic.
